Drift In is seeking a Busser with elevated, high-volume restaurant experience. Bussers are an integral part of our collaborative front-of-house team, helping to create exceptional guest experiences and earning industry leading tips.
Drift In is a vibrant outdoor restaurant in the West Village overlooking the Hudson River. With two distinct waterfront seating areas, Drift In features easy-going beach fare, craft cocktails, summery wines, crisp beers, and epic sunsets.
The role of a busser is crucial to maintain a smooth and pleasant dining experience for guests. They play a key supporting role in the overall success of a restaurant’s service. Attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a commitment to providing a high standard of cleanliness and presentation are particularly important for a busser. Their duties include promptly clearing tables after guests finish their meals, resetting them for new diners, and collaborating with both servers and kitchen staff to synchronize the flow of service. Bussers also play a supportive role in delivering food to tables, refilling water glasses, and responding to guest requests with politeness and efficiency. Beyond their contributions to the overall dining experience, bussers contribute to the upkeep of cleanliness in the dining area, swiftly addressing spills or debris. Their adaptability and attention to detail are particularly crucial. Bussers are vital team members who work cohesively to uphold the restaurant's standards and ensure a positive and enjoyable environment for patrons.
